I recently helped someone make a bunch of images of membrane protein structures, so I thought I'd put them up here for you to enjoy. Considering that membrane proteins make up ~30% of the genome (Stevens & Arkin, 2000), solution of membrane protein structures have lagged far behind cytosolic proteins. But now we're catching up:

Nice post, very interesting to see all these structures together.
I’m now working at the group, which solved the structure of sensory rhodopsin II – transducer complex.
By the way, I think I could’ve answered some questions about lazy crystallographers :)
And there is also ccp4bb, where lots of people are willing to answer questions about crystallography.
